THOMAS J. SKOLA has been appointed to the Panel of Arbitrators of both the American Arbitration Association/International Centre for Dispute Resolution in New York and the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris and has participated in numerous arbitration proceedings in the English, Spanish and Portuguese languages.

Please note his latest activities as an International Arbitrator:

  • Geotermica Salvadorena, S.A. de C.V. (El Salvador) v. Compañía de Alumbrado Eléctrico de San Salvador S.A. de C.V. (El Salvador)
    Mr. Skola served as the Sole Arbitrator in an arbitration proceeding sponsored by the International Chamber of Commerce Court of Arbitration in San Salvador, El Salvador, to resolve a dispute between the producer and distributor of electrical energy in the country of El Salvador over the proper price agreed to by the parties pursuant to a contract governed by the laws of El Salvador.

  • Unnisa Soluções em Meios de Pagamento Ltd. v. Proceda Technologia e Informática S.A. 
    Mr. Skola was the Sole Arbitrator in an arbitration proceeding sponsored by the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association in Miami, Florida, to resolve a dispute between the parties over their respective obligations in a Services Agreement governed by Brazilian law. 

  • e-Merge Cogen, Inc. v. En-Sol Corporation
    Mr. Skola served as the Sole Arbitrator in an arbitration proceeding sponsored by the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the America Arbitration Association in Miami, Florida, to resolve a dispute between the parties relating to a joint venture in the Dominican Republic governed by New Jersey law.

  • Vitamine & Co. v. Rexall Sundown, Inc. 
    Mr. Skola served as one of three Arbitrators in an arbitration proceeding sponsored by the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of the American Arbitration Association in Miami, Florida,  to resolve a dispute between the parties relating to the termination of the Claimant’s distributorship in Austria and Germany under their International Distribution Agreement governed by Florida law.

In addition to serving as an Arbitrator, Mr. Skola has also represented various clients in arbitration proceedings, both as counsel to the claimant and counsel to the respondent.
